Medical Reception is the interface between patients, the public and the health profession. As such, medical receptionists have a critical role to the success and efficient functioning of doctors’ offices and hospitals. Duties of a medical receptionist include: greeting patients upon arrival, answering the telephone, filing medical records, completing insurance forms, scheduling appointments/follow-ups with patients, billing, and bookkeeping.Recommended for: anyone working or interested in working in medical reception field in hospital or clinic settings.
